FORMAT burrs are available with different cutting edge geometries. The material to be machined and the specific application are decisive here. The universal "C" toothing guarantees high stock removal for steel, cast iron and stainless steel. The special toothing "ALU" and "ALU-Special" ensure high cutting performance and smooth milling behaviour on aluminium, aluminium alloys and plastic. Our FORMAT catalogue gives differentiated recommendations for the use of the various materials, also with regard to the optimum speed.
The burrs are made of carbide with the highest precision and have a long service life. They run very smoothly and enable precise, impact-free work without chatter marks. The machined surfaces subsequently have an exceptionally high processing quality.
When using them, the basic rule is to work with little pressure and to ensure even movements. A powerful electric or compressed air tool must be used as the drive.
