FORMAT Digital Multimeter CAT III with Temperature Measurement

The multimeter measures voltage, resistance, current and temperature accurately and is a tool for continuity testing, diode testing and battery testing.

CAT III tests up to the voltage range 600 V

The FORMAT digital multimeter corresponds to the measurement category CAT III with a rated voltage of 600 V to earth. For use in building installation circuits, e.g. distribution boards, circuit breakers, wiring, sockets, switches, equipment for industrial use, permanently installed motors.

For direct and alternating voltage

Use the large selector switch to determine whether you want to measure direct current (DC) or alternating current (AC). For DC and AC voltage, the measuring ranges 2 V, 20 V, 200 V and 600 V are available. You can easily read the exact measured values on the extra-large LC display with 1999 digits.

Measuring current

For exact measurement of currents, select the 200 mA or 10 A measuring range with the FORMAT Digital Multimeter. The measuring device may only be used in circuits fused with 16 A up to a nominal voltage of 600 V. The nominal cross-section of the connecting cable must not exceed the maximum permissible value. The nominal cross-section of the connecting cable must be observed and a secure connection (e.g. via crocodile clips) must be ensured.

Resistance measurement

The measuring ranges 2 MΩ, 200 kΩ, 20 kΩ or 2000 Ω are available, which means that there are numerous areas of application for the FORMAT multimeter.

Continuity test

In addition to the indication on the display, an acoustic signal sounds for resistances up to 1000 Ω. This allows you to work more quickly when measuring a complex system, as you do not need to look at the display.

Diode test

You can use the FORMAT digital multimeter to test the functionality of a diode. Electric current can only flow through an intact diode in one direction. With the multimeter you can determine whether the diode is working, whether it is defective or whether it has been installed incorrectly.

Testing batteries

Use the FORMAT digital multimeter to check whether batteries still supply enough energy. The measuring ranges 1.5 V and 9 V are available.

Temperature measurement

It is very practical for service technicians to have a device for measuring temperature at their disposal. The FORMAT multimeter also measures temperatures in a measuring range from - 40 to + 400 ℃.

Protection against overload thanks to built-in fuse

The FORMAT Multimeter is safe from accidental overloading. The built-in fuse protects the unit. If necessary, the fuse can be replaced by the user.
